No. 3 Stencil
mixing paint, ink and pastels to make hot rod art
I enjoy getting back to my Fine Art roots
on a regular basis, and this piece was the
highlight of a week-long thrash in the Studio.
I began by cutting stencils from my now-retired
No. 3 Tee artwork, and laying them out on
some canvas-covered plywood. I began to
hit the stencils with paints, chalks, pastels,
inks... mixtures of all four... and
stopped when it looked like this.
The prints are uncanny in their truthfulness
to the original, and even the smallest
wrinkle details from the plastc wrap sponging
show through with incredible sharpness.
Highly saturated and crisp, and
ready to frame and display.
13 x 19-inch heavy stock
Bold colors
Incredible saturation and detail
$35.00/ea
